Geniene B. Stillwell

Geniene B. Stillwell is from San Antonio, Texas. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration, Business Management, from Texas A&M University. While at Texas A&M, Ms. Stillwell was awarded the Dean’s Award for the Most Outstanding Senior in Management, and she graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.

Ms. Stillwell attended law school at the University of Texas in Austin where she was honored to be a Member of the Order of the Coif and a Member of The Texas Law Review. After law school, Attorney Stillwell came to Southern California to work as an associate for the prestigious international law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP.

At Gibson, Dunn, she was a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Department, where she represented and defended management in employment litigation. Ms. Stillwell became a partner of the firm in 1997.

Following her invaluable experience practicing employment law at Gibson, Dunn, Attorney Geniene Stillwell resigned from the partnership to form her own employment law firm, Stillwell Law Office, P.C., in 2001. She chose the picturesque town of Laguna Beach to establish her office.

Attorney Stillwell's exclusive focus in her firm is representing employees involved in disputes with their employers. She enjoys representing individuals and helping them vindicate their rights against companies. Ms. Stillwell’s previous experience representing management gives her a unique perspective and insight, enabling her to anticipate and thwart arguments and tactics used by companies. She has extensive experience in state and federal trials, mediation, negotiating severance agreements, drafting employment contracts, and all aspects of employment law.

Attorney Geniene Stillwell and the Stillwell Law Office have obtained several multi-million dollar verdicts on behalf of individual employees. She is a member of the Orange County Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section, the American Bar Association, and the California Employment Lawyers Association.
